|Columbus, Ohio—Installed Building Products—which is among the nation’s largest insulation installers in the residential new construction market—has given Besa a $100,000 multi-year grant to propel civic engagement and generate community impact across Central Ohio.
Right now, Besa offers 50 to 70 curated volunteer events to the public each month, and most of them fill to capacity. IBP’s gift will help add more monthly volunteer events to engage even more members of the community in giving back.
Founded in 1977, Columbus-based Installed Building Products (IBP) now boasts more than 240 award-winning branches across the country, with over 10,000 employees—including 400 in Central Ohio. Its commitment to making the community a better place runs deep; with this gift to Besa, IBP has donated nearly $5M to nonprofits. Its gifts have focused on improving education and housing as well as supporting nonprofit organizations that promote civic engagement.
When IBP launched its charitable foundation in 2019, it also launched a corporate partnership with Besa to mobilize team members around giving back and to connect them more deeply with their community. After seeing Besa’s impact firsthand, the company’s leadership is confident its $100,000 gift to Besa is an investment that will make a meaningful difference across Central Ohio.
“Our partnership with BESA has been mutually beneficial from the beginning, and the impact we’ve made together through a shared commitment to strengthening Columbus has been remarkable,” said Kelly Clifford-Riehl, Vice President of Communications and Community Relations and IBP Foundation President. “The organization has acted as an example for countless Ohioans’ volunteer contributions, and I can’t wait to see the additional impact and events created with an added $100,000 in funding.”
Besa CEO Matthew Goldstein said he is humbled by the grant, especially because it means IBP has seen a clear return on investment in its partnership with Besa.
“IBP has made incredible impact across Central Ohio and the communities they serve nationwide,” Goldstein said. “We’re proud that our partnership with them has deepened their team members’ connections with the community. And because of this generous gift, thousands more community members—just like their employees— will be inspired to get involved in giving back, and the ripple effects will make an enormous difference in the neighborhoods we serve.”
Since launching in 2012, Besa has rallied 70,000 corporate and individual volunteers to give 165,000 hours on 11,300 service projects and has facilitated $80M in community impact.
