Besa Volunteers Beautifying Antrim Park for Spring Into Service Event

Columbus, Ohio—To celebrate both National Volunteer Month and Earth Month, Besa is mobilizing more than 50 volunteers for a “Spring Into Service” event to plant trees, create pollinator gardens and beautify the grounds at Antrim Park on Monday, April 27 from 1 to 3 p.m.

After volunteers work in the park, Besa will present its annual awards, which recognize philanthropic work by individuals, businesses and nonprofits, from 3 to 3:30 p.m.

“We’ve been celebrating our volunteers and the spirit of volunteerism all month long, and we’re excited for the month to culminate in our favorite kind of celebration—the kind that gives back,” Besa CEO Matthew Goldstein said. “The kindness and goodness of our volunteers, our business partners and our nonprofit partners blows my mind. To be able to honor some of them while mobilizing dozens of people to do good in the community—it just doesn’t get any better.”

Goldstein will volunteer at the event alongside other community leaders like Columbus City Councilmember Nancy Day-Achauer; Michael Corey, Executive Director of the Human Service Chamber of Franklin County; Michael Wilkos, VP of Community Engagement at United Way; and others.

Spring Into Service is Monday, April 27 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Antrim Park, 5800 Olentangy River Rd. in Columbus.
